This program never leaves St. Martin. Not to suggest that it doesn’t take you to some incredible places. Most of them just happen to be inside of you. Accomplish more than you ever imagined on this skill-intensive dive instructor development course. Candidates live at our training facility in Anse Marcel on the French side of the island. Attend daily classes there or in the pool. Then, a five-minute boat ride offshore drops you at Creole Rock to work on your in-water skills.

St. Martin proves to be a tranquil backdrop as the training amps up. Long powdery beaches, crystal blue water and warm locals help keep your stress levels down as you inch toward writing your instructor exam. Class time is focused on teaching dive theory. It covers PADI teaching philosophy and involves practice sessions where you get to be the teacher. Water sessions at Creole Rock, which is as fun as its name, instruct you on how to teach open water and rescue skills to others.

“Because of Broadreach I am more aware that there is a bigger world out there with more than enough resources to support everyone and everyone’s dreams.” — Sophia Lux-Archer, Corona, CA

This course is a pre-requisite to taking the Instructor examination. Should you pass, you will be an Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI), certified to teach all core PADI courses. So while this map seems like just a map of St. Martin, it’s really a map of anywhere you want to go in your dive career.
