Caribbean PADI Divemaster Internship

COURSE DESCRIPTION

The PADI Divemaster course is your first step into the PADI professional diving world. In this course you will learn what it means to be a PADI Divemaster and your role and opportunities in the dive industry. Additionally, you will learn the hard and soft skills necessary to be a successful Divemaster. Some of the soft skills include: professionalism, leadership, adaptability, critical thinking, awareness and communication. Some of the hard skills include: Risk management, small boat handling, basic gear maintenance, dive site mapping, dive planning and management, and in-water demonstration skills. Instructors will work with you to bring your in-water skills up to instructor demonstration quality. Time will also be spent on increasing your dive theory knowledge base so you may better solve potential problems in the future. Lastly, you will be tested on you general fitness in a series of water stamina exercises to make sure you are physically fit to deal with a situation if it were to arise. This course is accredited through the American Council on Education (ACE). Your school may or may not accept ACE physical education credits, and we can help guide you through that process.
