Circumnavigate the entire coast of Iceland in pursuit of its relentless natural beauty. Capture images of gushing geysers, frozen cliffs and volcanic craters as you propel your photography skills to the next level.
With your camera in tow, embark on an otherworldly Icelandic expedition. Spend three weeks making your way around the Ring Road and testing your photography skills against the Nordic country’s arresting tundra landscape. Collect a vast portfolio of images, depicting the colorful housetops of Reykjavík as well as the remote views of the northern volcanic desert. Advance your exposure, composition and lighting skills while you walk across glaciers and swim in hot springs. Practice your wildlife photography skills following puffins along a rocky cliff shore. See enough waterfalls to last you a lifetime, make friends with local residents and stroll along iceberg sprinkled beaches in this uniquely gorgeous country.
Once you’ve accumulated more images than you know what to do with, head indoors to begin editing your collection and expanding your capabilities in Photoshop and Lightroom. Instructors will help you advance your image editing, color correction, retouching and compositing skills. Learn about and practice a range of artistic techniques. Prepare to present your portfolio to the group, but not before embarking on a few final adventures. Go whale watching in Húsavík and kayak between cliffs on nearby fjords—you may find yourself squeezing in just a few more images. Enjoy looking back at the trip as you watch your classmates’ portfolio slideshows, and then depart from this glacial island with a professional-grade portfolio that rivals that of a career photographer.
